Minutes of the RSB-NC Board Meeting April 11, 2026

Hearing no corrections to the minutes, the Minutes were approved unanimously.
Treasurer’s report: (Robert):
- Membership renewals: 26 people so far have renewed ($946). Ordinarily we end up with 30-33 members ($1,200).
TODO: Robert – Send another appeal for membership renewal
Suggestion: Restart the Events Calendar devoted solely to Branch events. Can a Google forms calendar be open for posting for events, meetings, etc. by designated people? There should be a limited number of people posting.
Can we coordinate with The Christian Community and post our flyers with them? Contact person is Buddy?
Michael can be the contact from our side. Can we have a way for people to add events to their calendar? We can aggregate events from other calendars on ours.
TODO: Michael will look into the possibilities for a calendar on our website
Community events: Review and comments
- Annual Meeting on March 28th: see report here. Robert and Viorica were re-elected to the Board. Michael was elected to the Board. Here are the new Board terms:
- DONE: Robert to send out notice of Annual General Meeting plus other notices to renew membership and to propose additional members to serve on the Board.
- TODO: Michael – Add the flyers for past year Celebrations for the Unborn to the RSB website (flyers from Allen)
Election of Board Officers
- From the Bylaws Article VIII, Section 2: The officers of the Corporation shall be elected annually by the Board of Directors by common assent or formal vote. Such election shall be held at the first meeting following the annual meeting, otherwise in a special meeting or proceeding of the Board of Directors. Each officer shall hold office until the expiration of the officer’s term,

- We reviewed the Branch membership spreadsheet and procedures to see if we can have someone on the Board focus on managing membership inquiries and renewals.
- Other Board tasks: Event planner and coordinator: Annie. Membership coordinator: Allen?
Upcoming Events / Plans
- St. John’s – needs to be planned if someone wants to take it up. Elena? Ben?
Report on the status of Branch activities
- Study groups: Philosophy of Freedom study group; Study at the Christian Community (Fridays) & visits to community members (Judy Frey), Theosophy study group.
- EWS: No news.
- Christian Community: Need to find a rental (Eno House?).
- Other Waldorf initiatives: Raleigh Day School is going to continue next year! Also there is interest in starting a Waldorf school in Winston-Salem.
- Other initiatives:
Set date for next Board meeting: Saturday, June 27, 10-12 PM, on Zoom.
