Festivals and Events:
- Review of All Souls Day –Fifteen People gathered at Eve Olive’s home. Suzanne Mays played the lyre, Joanna Carey, who was visiting from California, led the event and spoke a few words. Kathleen talked about Truus Geraets and Traute Page, both of whom passed away this year. All participated in sharing the names of people close to them who have died and made comments relating to the theme of All Souls Day as candles were lit. A Pot Luck supper followed the observance.
- Advent – Kathleen wrote to Bride Alona McWilliams and unfortunately Bride will be staying in Denver for the holidays.
- Jenny is planning to attend the Christmas Conference in Dornach and said she is happy that Christina and the Board are taking on the planning of Christmas activities this year.
- At the first two Advent Sundays, which will be presented in the Eurythmy Room at EWS, Christina will lead the attendees in a one-hour Eurythmy program followed by a short break. Kathleen will then present a traditional Advent Observance with Suzanne playing the lyre, lighting of the wreath, recitation of verses, a short talk and a song or two. Robert sent a payment to Christina for her two eurythmy presentations on the first two Advent Sundays.
- For the third and fourth Sundays, Advent will take place at the Mays home. They will have the traditional Advent observances. The 17th will include a Christmas Potluck party and the fourth will have a talk about the Christmas Conference.
- Holy Nights – This year we will be commemorating the anniversary of the Christmas Conference of 1923; no planning has happened yet, but we need to move on it soon.
