Minutes for RSB Board Meeting June 1, 2018
Present: Kathleen, Robert, Roger, Kelly.

Approval of Minutes Motion: Robert moved to approve the minutes of April 20, 2018. Roger seconded. Approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Kelly led the members through the financial statements. Dues have been received from 33 members. Kelly will reach out to the Chicago Branch to get a status of their finances and a new timeline for them to repay our branch the money they owe us.
Review of Branch Meeting: We really liked hearing from Branch member Jenny Bingham and are looking forward to hearing from other members about subjects that inspire them.
Board Event Planning included a discussion of support for Amaranth Eurythmy Performance. The decisions about other board events were tabled until a date is given for Amaranth.
Motion: Kelly moved that the board designate up to $2000 to underwrite (sponsor) the Amaranth Eurythmy Performance to occur in the Chapel Hill area in November 2018 or in 2019. Roger seconded. Approved.
Planning Group: Roger and Kelly shared that the intent is to celebrate the 4 main festivals of the year with a thread of continuity from one festival to the next. Several inspirations have been received and are living within this matrix of an annual plan. The over-all thread will involve the breathing process of the earth in the cycle of the year, which we think will be most nourishing for the community.
St. John’s will be poignant this year, since Infinity Farm is on the market. There will be a tribute to Infinity Farm during this festival celebration.
The Planning Group affirmed to the board that the festivals are designed for people interested in anthroposophy, and that there will be seasonally appropriate anthroposophical content at every festival.
Re-Design of Website Update: Appreciation was shared for the new website, and also a few more edits were suggested. There is a need and a plan for training of board members in order to maintain the new site throughout the year. Robert will develop a training video for adding items to the Calendar.
Scholarship Approval Process: A discussion about who is eligible to receive scholarships resulted in the decision to require that:
A scholarship recipient must be a member of the RSB for at least 6 months in order to be eligible to receive a scholarship. The maximum scholarship is $200 per year per person, assuming the scholarship funds has funds available.
