We'll be gathering at the home of Robin and Diana Haynes, at 2707 Tryon Rd, Durham, NC 27705; in their beautiful back yard, weather permitting. (Otherwise, on the covered deck or inside, as conditions warrant.) Please bring a poem or short verse about clouds. Following the program there will be a pot luck lunch. Diana will make a vegetarian soup; other food contributions are welcome.
Lynn Jericho will share her research into the essential relationships between the Christ and the Bethany siblings, Lazarus, Martha, and Mary. What intimate understanding of the earthly struggles of being human did each of these individuals provide for the Fulfillment of the Mystery of Golgotha? Light refreshments will be served.
Sarah and Buddy Smiley will be holding a devotional gathering at their home this Sunday, May 5th, at 10:30 AM. We'll sing a song or two, read from the gospel for the week (John 14:1–31), share our thoughts about the reading, and offer prayers. It's always an enriching and enlivening experience.
