Minutes for RSB Board Meeting April 9, 2022

Opening verse
Approve minutes of January 29, 2022 meeting: Robert moves to approve. Kathleen seconds. Approved unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report (Robert): Robert reported that our Branch membership is now at 27. We spent about $400 to transfer the hosting of the website to a new provider. Robert and Suzanne Mays will make a donation of $400 to cover most of this cost.
- Done (Robert): Robert changed PO Box contact email to Robert from Kelly C. and set up deductions from the debit card to pay for it automatically each year.
Website Report (Robert): The website is stable. We have transferred the website to a new hosting provider, Bluehost.com.
Festivals and Events (Kathleen):
- Review of AGM: 13 people attended. The meeting went very well but we did not get to the discussion of the future wishes and plans for the society. There were no elections of Board members.
- Review of Barbara Renold Mystery Drama Workshop: The workshop went very well 22 people attended. Barbara was pleased to be here. In future events, lunch will be on your own/going out to eat instead of provided by the Board, since it was too much work.
- Easter: Joanna is doing Emil Bock reading at her home for people to attend during Holy Week. Joanna will also hold a weekly Easter Study for the 4 weeks prior to Easter.
- May Branch meeting: 5/7/22 2-5 pm: Jenny Bingham will discuss Anthroposophical Psychology training. We will discuss future plans for the Branch.
- Ideas for Events this year? It’s the 100th anniversary of the Biodynamic Agriculture initiative and also the 100th anniversary of the burning of the first Goetheanum. Can we have events to celebrate and commemorate?
- TO DO (Kelly): Kelly will call Jon Lyerly and ask if he will host a workshop. Kelly called and left a message on 4/15.
- TO DO (Robert): Robert will revise the Scholarship Application Form.
Reports from initiatives and daughter movements in the area
- EWS: The Waldorf School is hiring teachers/eurythmists for next year.
- Christian Community: The last weekend in June is the priest visit, St. John’s weekend. Friday night will be a Mystery Drama presentation, Saturday Kathleen will give a talk on the history of the Christian Community Church in NC. Sunday will be the Act of Consecration of Man at the Smiley’s, with a picnic afterwards.

Election of Board Officers:
- MOTION: Robert moved that we continue the current Board officers for next year. Kathleen Seconds, unanimously approved.
Next Board Meeting: The date is set for June 11th, 2-4 PM at the Mays home.
